The charity Antibiotic Research UK was founded to tackle antibiotic resistance which is on the rise globally. The charity raises money to support research into new antibiotics as well as providing education and information to the public, professionals and patients.
I met Claire through my mums’ network, and she thought I’d be a good fit for the Great University Science Quiz project because of my background working with academic institutions.
Brief
The Great University Science Quiz is an initiative targeting university students to increase knowledge and encourage more research into antibiotics. Claire needed a logo, poster, Zoom background and other collateral for the quiz. It was a campaign branding project separate to the main visual identity of the charity and needed to be fun and appeal to students.
Creative
I came up with a quirky, energetic logo using a range of interesting fonts layered on a background of science iconography. This identity is fun and eye-catching, with a nod to different ideas and specialisms coming together. Although the quiz is a standalone event, I made sure the imagery was aligned with the charity’s existing branding to achieve a consistent feel.
Impact
The event was a great success, and everyone was pleased with the visuals. I’ve since updated them for each new quiz and also worked on additional leaflets and fundraising packs for the charity which can be viewed below.
